Deskripsyon

Located on the island on Pierce Drive and south of North Drive. This tree, about 75 feet tall and 24 inches in diameter, is leaning at probably a 30 degree angle and when it falls will damage nearby homes. But more of an issue is if it falls, it could fall on a auto passing underneath, crushing it and possibly severely injure the occupants or worse! The photo was taken at 5:00 pm, since then the position of the tree has worsened. This tree was verticle earlier in the day and has been compromised by the high winds today.

This issue was reported to the Calhoun County Dispatch at 5:19 pm. A Marshall Fire Truck drove through at 7:20 pm, parked in Brewer Farms and then exited at 7:30 pm.

The forecast shows increased winds of up to 20 mph again tomorrow morning. In my opinion, and at the very least, topping the tree now would reduce the chance of it falling and damaging nearby buildings.

This is the tree in the center of the photo that is leaning and taken from the side looking east. The home behind is a direct target for damage if the tree falls.
